The Unbreathable Performaces of Every Tribes who Joined the Dinagyang 360-degree Tribe Competition 2020.

The Dinagyang Tribes Competition is the most awaited event of the Dinagyang Festival. The competing tribes include the warrior-dancers are all smeared with the dark brown body-painted,dance to the fast-paced beat of the drums and other live instruments and battle it out to become the festival champion.

These are the winners of Dinagyang 360-degree Tribes Competition 2020.

1. Tribu Paghidaet of La Paz National High School is the champion.
Aside from the top honor, it also bagged six of eight minor awards – Best in Performance, Best in Choreography, Best in Music, People’s Choice Award (Social Media), Best in Production Design, and Best in Discipline.

2. Tribu Panayanon of Iloilo City National High School was first runner-up.

3. Tribu Ilonganon of Jalandoni Memorial National High School that was hoping for a back-to-back win. ended up as second runner-up.
The two other minor awards, Best in Costume Design and Headdress and Best in Sadsad, went to Tribu Ilonganon.

The concept revolves around three aspects including indigenous culture of Ati, devotion to Santo Niño and dagyang or merry-making. They have to showcase Ilonggo values portrayed in bountiful harvest or helping one another, among others. These should be shown in the color and texture used by participants.
Ilonggo art is expressed by Dinagyang warriors dancing to drumbeats or rhythm of the streets. Art is always in flux and Dinagyang is always changing. Although 360 is not new, it aims to capture today’s generation.
